Imagine speeding for 30 seconds and the fine is automatic.
NO!!! It would be the Chinese Social Credit System by the back door wrapped in your national flag and once they have the whole of your life on one card they can then shut your life down with the push of a button.
This Idea was suggested in the UK and went into Law as Identity Cards Act 2006, but no one in the UK took any notice of it and it was repealed in 2011.
But they are going to have another go at it, given the way The UK Government has given us plenty of reasons to be wary of its digital projects. Recent months have seen backtracks over the planned contract tracing app and exams algorithm, and only last year the Home Office had to apologise to EU nationals and Windrush citizens in the space of a week for data breaches.
Liberty has responded to Government plans to create a national digital ID system, widely likened to a digital form of ID cards.
“National digital ID systems tend to rely on creating huge central databases, meaning all of our interactions with the State and public services can be recorded. This personal data could then be accessed by a range of Government agencies or even private corporations, potentially in combination with other surveillance technologies like facial recognition.
“This digital ID proposal would resurrect the failed and expensive experiment by the Labour Government in 2006 when it tried to introduce ID cards. The difference is, this version is likely to be even more intrusive, insecure and discriminatory than last time round, while making it harder for some people to access essential services.
“The pandemic has laid bare the many urgent issues in society the Government should prioritise – an expensive and unjustified ID scheme that threatens our rights isn’t one of them.”
You don't know that your already been tracked anyway. Fun fact over here in England surveillance and been tracked it's actually the highest of any nation except China. The interesting part though about how England works is they have all this surveillance but they are very avoidant of actually using it in a way you would describe. There is a reason why criminals here still get by and it's no due to the lack of CTTV.
It's the quite smart reason of you can track and watch everyone without anyone knowing, most people here don't know half the CTTV they go past, not many know England is the highest nation next to China why they don't know is because the government here simply never uses it in the ways that would be super obvious and they for sure ain't using to catch your average joe buying weed.
Other countries of course copy such same tactic's. So what your talking about already works and has been working in many countries for some time, many countries just keep it out of people's mind's because that's the easiest way to get away with it. So actually for them to implant something in your hand would hurt that ideology and isn't needed anyway.
If you really think the government don't know what your buying when and don't know if they really had to they could track you down then you are just living by what they want most people to think. This ain't conspiracy shit just basic facts they already track us.

It will probably become mandatory, unless there's the possibility it would save people's life then it's whatever.
Sure, I'd find a way to hack it and give myself more money. Anything digital can be hacked, be it self driving cars, or your fridge hooked to the wifi at home.
Nothing is 100% secure... look at how many hacks happen all the time, so I could change my identity, and make myself rich.
People have said it's coming for decades now in the US, it's never coming though, almost no one will ever agree to having technology injected into their body. It would be a form of assault, it would poison the body with metals, and any company ceo who forced it without consent on employees would go to jail. The government here wouldn't dare do this, they would get rioting and government overthrow.
