Can you write the specs of the laptop you are using?

Can you write the brand, ram level, SSD level, video card type, model year etc. general information? I'm going to buy a laptop, I'm asking to get an idea.

I have asus zenbook 15 (ux534 ftc)

It has i7 10510u cpu, gtx 1650 max q, 16 gb ram.

I bought it 2 years ago in 2020 for about 2000 dollars (In my country electronics have %100 tax so they cost more). It has never been a high end device by any means but it was a decent laptop back in 2020. Nowadays it still runs fine and everything works great but I have to lower graphics a little bit to run modern games at decent fps. I would like to upgrade.

I learned that upgrading the laptop with repair methods wouldn't help. If you really want to upgrade, I would recommend getting a new laptop. The specs of his current laptop are really good. It might be causing problems with the game, I don't know. I do not plan to play games on the laptop I will buy. so a laptop with lower specs than yours would be enough for me

Go for some extra RAM,
see to it that it runs on a multi-core processor and enjoy saving extra milliseconds in typing a word document (*smirks*).
HDD for tougher reliability.
Don't over-emphasize graphic cards: on your little screen you won't see much difference.
Avoid ''brands'' that are entirely owned by Chinese companies.
Check the keyboard lay-out if it suits your habits.

As an additional thought: a computer's ''performance'' will be worthless when the user (you, me, anyone) has no clue of how to handle it efficiently.

yes, you are very right. A laptop with at least 8 GB RAM, at least 256 GB SSD (I don't prefer HDD) and a shared graphics card is enough for me. It would be better if the graphics card was unshared, but unfortunately, such ones are expensive. My purpose is not to play games. so the shared video card is enough for me. You say stay away from brands that belong entirely to Chinese companies. ok i will pay attention to this but almost all brands order to china. What should I do in this situation? What I mean with the Chinese issue: as long as there is a ''Western'' company that caps and controls quality, there is a chance to get something that works well enough. Leave it entirely in Chinese hands and they will betray your expectations when they can make an extra profit. It's their culture.

Brands is difficult to recommend. I had a number of laptops before, and as long as they came from a well introduced 'manufacturer' they all were more or less the same.(HP, Asus, Acer, Dell)

yes, there are also laptop brands that are actually ordered to China but not originally from China. but when looking at laptop brands and models, there is still a site that says China for some reason. For example, if I'm looking for an HP laptop, it says it's from China. Isn't that wrong? The same is true for the Dell brand. whereas Dell and HP brands are not of American origin? Why might China be the country of origin for these brands on that site? Also, Asus and Acer brands are originally from Taiwan. Taiwan's official name is the Republic of China. In other words, this does not mean that Asus and Acer brands are actually from the People's Republic of China, does it?

Taiwan and mainland China obviously isn't the same. To clarify my view: for myself Taiwan is NOT China :D (as much as i. e. Hong Kong ALSO counts as ''China'' to me.

I know that Taiwan is not actually China. but for some reason, even for products originating from Taiwan (Asus, Acer), only China is written instead of the country of origin Taiwan. this confused me. I wonder where Taiwan manufactures its products. Does it manufacture in China or its home country Taiwan? I know that brands such as Huawei, Lenovo, Honor, MSI belong entirely to China.

You lay out a budget and then get a laptop based on that. You might want to try a second hand laptop instead as they are better value.

Avoid HP garbage. If you are a student then you can get some good deals using the student discount.

I know how it should be. I know what to use the laptop for. But now the prices are quite high. I'm putting off my plan to buy a new laptop hoping that prices will drop in the future. I have a laptop right now. I can deal with it for a while. Why did you say stay away for HP?

My purpose is not to play games. I want a midrange laptop for home and office style. I know how a laptop of this level would be, but now the prices are quite expensive. I'm postponing it for now, hoping it will drop in the future. I have a low-level laptop in my hand, I can manage with it for a while
