I personally prefer the Samsung Galaxy series. I currently have a S20 Fan Edition 5G UW. I'm partial to android in general as I've had an iPhone and found it to be too much of a headache.
+1 yI loved my Samsung S7. I wish I could've gotten rid of the Samsung apps but I can't root my phones because Verizon locks the bootloader. I really liked the interface, the settings, camera, everything. After 3 years or so the bottom 1/3rd of the screen turned black and I was unable to see the keyboard. I tried factory reset but it did not fix the problem. Now I have the Pixel 4a. It's not as good. I can't separate the volume of ringtone and notifications. There is no optical zoom. There are no camera settings without installing a third party app. The good thing is less bloatware that cannot be uninstalled without root. Oh, and best of all is that I still have unlimited storage in all my Google accounts I added to the phone. I am downloading as many movies and p0rn as I can while I have unlimited storage. Google does not offer it to it's newer phones. Damn Google. I don't know what my next phone will be. But my first look will probably be into Samsung. Either the S or A series. I don't need a powerful phone so I stick with the cheaper versions such as the Pixel 4a instead of Pixel 4. If I go for another Pixel then maybe it will be the 7a or 8a (if those will exist). Samsung sometimes makes unpredictable model names so I will have to wait. S24? S25? A93? A103? Who knows?

+1 yDecades ago, I was exclusive to Motorola. Ever sense Samsung launched the Note I have upgraded each and every year. I have seen a big decrease in quality and support in recent years. And it is accelerating!!! Sense there was no new Note I am on my last one and I am keeping my eye open. I have looked at the Samsung Fold but cannot upgrade until March. Some phones you may consider NOT for gaming but for their power is ASUS and MSI both computer companies with very powerful phones!

+1 yI liked the exterior look of the iphone 5-8 (and current SE’s) that had home buttons. I also like the notes and photo album of the iphone. I like the cameras and free ringtones of the androids. But i dont like androids. They’re a bit complex to work and dont feel as secure. The only appealing android exterior to me was the Pixel 2 and Huawei P30 Pro

+1 yPixel just because I don't like anything Samsung puts on their phones like their music apps and stuff. I just want Spotify or YouTube music. I'm not wanting Samsung's music app

Currently, it would have to go to Samsung. Their stuff just seems to work the best overall in terms of general performance and have lasted longer than other phones I've had. (I got ~7 years out of the Galaxy S4 before it got too slow to use/noticeably out of date) The hardware tends to be some of the better phones available and the software isn't as intrusive as it once was. I always tend to buy some of the better hardware, so I can use the phones for at LEAST 4 years before even needing to consider an upgrade.
I've used (and still have, as they all technically work except for the Apple S5) Nokias (Flip & Lumia 950?), Motorola (Razr, Droid, Bionic), Google (Pixel 4A), Apple (S5), Samsung (S4 & Note 9) and ZTE (Axon 7). There are a lot of brands that I haven't tried, (Oneplus and Asus come to mind, LG in the past as well) but usually they have more significant concessions in terms of hardware. The Pixel (formerly nexus) line could be great if they focused more on their hardware, but they're definitely more focused in the mid-range pricing.

+1 yI prefer apple because it interfaces well with my iWatch and MacBook. I’ve found out how to send automated text messages which have been really funny to use.
Most of my family are apple users so I’ve created apple calendars for birthdays and vacations too. I’ve found free App Coding classes recorded from Stanford that I’ve been meaning to learn from too.00 ReplyWhatever the $100-$200 piece of crap phone is. I don't want to have a stroke over cracking the screen on a $1000 phone when I drop it or forget to take it out of my pocket and roll over on it when working on a car, laying in bed, etc. If it's a $100 phone, I can just go buy another one tomorrow.
00 ReplyPixel. I swore I would never buy another Samsung device of any kind ever. I had a Samsung phone and it came with the most bloatware and Samsung BS that they virtually forced me into adopting that I will never go back.

+1 yI currently have iPhone 12. I had a good deal from phone company so I purchased. But I was tempted to buy google pixel. I think the phone has a good price and function well. I mean what could go wrong with google? I am just going to use iPhone 12 for a while. I already have like 5 phones that I bought and it’s in the closet. I don’t know what to do with them. I feel guilty creating garbage.
00 ReplyOnly preferred Nokia and Apple products since I can remember. I had a blackberry and LG. Didn’t like it

10 ReplyI wish Samsung had a processor to go parrel with Apple chips. In house OS and SoC are what make Apple unique.

00 Reply Same as you Samsung galaxys only. I see Apple as a box jail cell that tracks you, Google as crap & Motorola as ancient crap lol
00 ReplyI have become an Apple fanboy, which limits me to the iPhone. Not that it's a problem as it does everything I need plus lots I don’t understand.
