I have the phone, watch, and MacBook too. It’s extremely easy to us and transfer data like pictures, videos, and music from device to device since they all run on the same easy operating system. It makes it easy to use Apple Airplay to project onto my TV for picture slideshows. I’ve found this app wear I can schedule automatic scripts to automatically do tasks like downloading bank statements and organizing my financing. It’s pretty damn handy. I can send text messages from my MacBook which makes it easy sending links I’ve found while browsing the web; I don’t need to email anything to myself to get it on my phone. Sooo handy.
Also I’m taking free courses online to learn how to make my own app. All I need is my MacBook and iPhone for that. It’s super neat.
I’ve also found out how to schedule automatic texting on my iPhone. I can program daily, weekly, and monthly texting. It’s pretty funny to mess with friends using that.
Overall it’s nice to have devices on the same operating system so they all interface with each other really well. Scheduling something I. My calendar in my MacBook and setting reminders on my phone all appear on my Watch notifications. I honestly love it.10 Reply

I’ve always gone for apple till one year I got a Samsung and I really liked it, I like the customisation you can do with an android that you can’t on an iPhone you can also delete photos from files on an android where as you can’t on an iPhone which is a pain, you can get an SD card to expand memory on an android you can’t with an iPhone iPhones do have better keyboards and are more minimal, I always use my iPhone 11 Pro Max as gaming on it is smooth where as on an android it’s to laggy and annoying.11 Reply

With Amdroid, all you have to do is download an APK and.. bam! With iOS, you have to run it through test flight and get it approved first.
+1 yIOS. Android is a constant irritant by malfunction.

I used to be interested in iPhones way back when they were revolutionary. When Android came in, it was a TERRIBLE and buggy experience, but they were just more affordable then... so I chose it out of necessity.
I still wanted an iPhone, but for the longest time, Apple was being too stubborn with their proprietary products at such premium prices, while Android, Blackberry and even Windows Phone were all trying to be more accessible. Android eventually won me over and I never looked back since.
It's been a hot minute, and I don't know much about Apple's products now these days. Maybe they've changed their tune, since I've noticed they've overtaken Android in popularity. But I just don't care anymore.00 Reply
+1 yNeither one
Ubuntu Touch or PureOS both are not Android or Apple crap and neither have Google or IOS apps
Plus they are more secured then either then the other two hand held spy device
But needless to say, I also don't own a cellphone, never have and never will
But will fix them and install Ubuntu touch on them
Google and Apple threaten our freedom
10 ReplyAndroid user but I seriously dislike it. Hopefully in the next 5-6 years the Linux phones will get better hardware and battery life, so I can finally dump that crappy Android and get a Linux phone where I'll be the one to decide what will update and when, not some braindead Google's tyrannical developer.

+1 yAny hacker who knows his stuff can hack into most Android devices. It’s all open source code with security added on. iOS, on the other hand is built just the opposite: security is primary, then the OS itself. I’ll stick with an iPhone any day over a Samsung.

+1 yI use both. I have no allegiance to either platform, although Apple's business practices (anti-competition, anti-"Right-To-Repair", anti-consumer, anti-environment) make it increasingly difficult to own any of their products.
Google is not better, but the one benefit of Android is that it is a platform first and an ecosystem second. With the right tools and know-how, the Play Store is not required to use Android, while iPhone cannot use anything but the App Store.00 Reply469 opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. Android. I don't do Apple and all of their many, many, many proprietary, walled-garden, force-you-to-buy-other-overpriced-Apple-crap-in-order-to-do-what-every-other-device-does-for-free devices.
I have to use Apple devices for work, and I have an older iPad that I use for testing purposes in that capacity, but I didn't pay for it (the screen is cracked, and the customer decided to just replace it) and I loathe using it.

Why are you forced to use Apple devices for work?

@YourFutureEx My customers tend to be wealthy or at least well-off - my industry (I'm an Audio Video Integrator) is essentially a luxury, so naturally, these are overwhelmingly the people who hire me. And these people, while being smart people generally, aren't necessarily "tech-smart", but they ARE image-conscious. Apple very intentionally markets to this segment of the population, and does a great job of it, and so these wealthy but not-necessarily "tech-smart" people inevitably buy Apple devices. I'd say that 9 out of 10 of my customers have Apple phones, tablets, and computers, across all members of the family. It's just what they buy.
So, to serve this clientele, I have to be able to test and verify that Apple devices are working correctly, and to do that, I must also have an Apple device. I resisted it for a long time, but it became a problem, and I can't deliver bad service - that makes no business sense. So, I now have this tablet for testing. What galls me is that, at some point, I'm going to have to get a new one, and I'm likely going to have to BUY it. I hate the idea of giving Apple money for something I don't even want - but, it's the nature of the beast. - +1 y
Thanks for the reply. It makes me realise that being smart and being tech smart are two different things. I am surrounded by very nice and wise people but a lot of them have purchased "the Apple Ecosystem" while they don't even know what NFC or Always-on-display is, which makes me wonder on what basis they value things. They always tell me that they don't want any customisation or anything that Android offers. As long as strangers can see them using Apple products, they are more than happy with their investment, which sounds so stupid to me. These people are close to me and it hurts me seeing them being so stupid. But your explanation is correct. They're not tech smart. They are image conscious people. And in that way, these people can overall be wise in life in general.
I'd be so upset if I had to buy an Apple product, but if it is making me money in the end, I'd be fine with it. At least you bought the iPad, out of all things. iPad, in my opinion, is the best Apple product as it has unique apps like Procreate and unmatched app optimisation.
