No, but I support all the big shots in the company I work for. They all have company issued iPhone. I cannot see the advantage to having one. They are much more expensive and are harder to set up. I had to do 4 of them today. A real pain in the butt

yea, in another place and time, I was a programmer on Macs, my first career. I loved it, and I visited the big Mac world in Cupertino. Some seriously odd people. It's 10x that now... and I don't trust their ethic nor does the writer of that article. It's a corporation and some stuff they do is controlling... a lot of it.
There's justifications for that... it's reasons I don't use some of their products like the cloud, music etc.. Too controlling. I do like the design of macs over windows (coded that too) and droid phones. apple stuff works better.
All our data is out there and I doubt there is any way to secure ourselves. Google also does stuff like this... like out of the blue, sending me an email of everywhere I want in the prior year. yikes!! big brother data.

It's gonna get 10x worse with all data capture, all social communications regurgitated and stored and AI.
in some ways, maybe humanity has gone too far in some areas, and not far enough in others. That alone makes me think... there's going to be a "leveling out" event somewhere... or over time.

I can at least monitor and program my own security on a PC, and replace and change hardware as needed without buying a whole new machine. On an Apple box I can't do any of this thanks to their greed.

yes it's tradeoff of a controlled system that is well integrated vs open standard. I got tired loading device drivers and dealing with stuff that didn't work on windows.

I have a old Iphone that I just use for an alarm clock and to check the time with really the only thing on it is random notes about nothing important and short stories/poems, etc stuff like that. It's basically a glorified notebook/clock.

There's no personal information on it, I don't even use it really to mess around on the internet.

Nothing on it can be used against me in any sort of way and there's nothing to steal off of it. I make it a habit to never have any sort of information on my phones of any kind. In terms of user names, passwords, personal information, etc that can be stolen or used against me in any sort of way.

So unless they wanna read haiku's or read about the worlds, universes, etc I create they ain't gonna find nothing.
