I have an Android phone and Android tablet. They are much cheaper than an equivalent Apple device, and Android gives me the freedom to do things my way, not locked into only doing things the Apple way if I were to own an Apple device.
It's significant that Apple iPhones make up only 17% of smart phones in the world, while Android phones make up 68%. The other 15% is a combination of various other smartphone operating systems.

I use android because it's much easier to use and live with. I love the 3 button it saves a lot of time compared to the horrible apple gesture navigation lol. Gesture navigation would drive me nuts and makes life more difficult then it should be.

I find the apple i-phone to be more ergonomic than the Samsung cause Samsung would cause ligament pain in my hands after long term use.

Nice interface, practical, fashionable but I regard them as expensive toys. Unfair perhaps. But I'm much more invested in the Google infrastructure which extends to their phone os. Just need to hold my nose with their social policies.
