Happily using my OnePlus 3T, yes thats an old phone by today's standards but I dislike new phones. My oneplus lets me do everything, I can root it without consequences, I can install custom roms on it, I already modified the modem to support 4G calling and if anything goes wrong I have all the tools to fix the OS and do whatever I want. And since its Android 10 I can share the entire phone's folder over my wifi securely without arbitrary restrictions from google.

Meanwhile when I use an iPhone i'd need apples permission if an app is kosher, if they approve of its political leaning, application and technical implementation I get their grace to thankfully use the app I want to use. So no thanks, I will choose the phone I can own and use however I want without having to ever care about what Google and OnePlus think.

A few reasons:

First, I prefer a phone with a removable battery. iPhones have very integrated batteries, whereas my Moto E5 has a simple, swap battery. Once this one poops, easy fix.

Second, I like a phone that will keep up it's guts for a good while. iPhones are designed to slow down, forcing you to get the new one.

Third, I like affordable. Apple is analogous to Adidas or Reebok. It's a brand. Expensive.


There are neat perks to iPhones. Sensational camera. Amazing features. I simply think the Cons outweigh the Pros.

Not practical.. just for showing. From price itself and spare parts. Also general settings and info sharing.

Just what worth is it getting one.. probably nothing except flashiness. Same goes for Macs.
They have limited advantages in minor or average aspects, that can be easily compensated.

It works fine and I don't care about getting anything newer. I pretty much only use it for calls, texting and photos. I use the calendar, calculator, clock, calculator, and maps apps. And sometimes I use it as a wifi hotspot for my laptop. That's about it.

I use my laptop to access email and websites.

Android is more compatible with my line of work... and I think nowadays I could use either but since Android works fine... I just stick with it
