Long story short. Years ago when I saw the movie New Mutants, I got an idea of turning their movie version into an virtual reality or augmented reality app.
The picture you see is from the movie. They are called smiling men, because they abducted one of the superpowered characters in her childhood. The more she cried, the more they smiled. This film showed how ugly those men were in her eyes.
After watching most episodes of Chris Hansen's to catch a predator, I saw only few people who could stop and think if they were shown how ugly and scary children would see them but many were equalent to killers ready to sacrifice even their own freedom and life just for one sick ride.
I brought this topic up because I rarely if ever have seen or heard of topics of cures. My idea of using AR headsets to see the world as victims see it will not cut it. Neither will adding meds that will do the opposite of viagra, take away the sexual drive. And neither will combining those with therapy and tools that help to taste and smell as bad as the pictures of smiling men, upon even fantazing of kids. But more people focus on cures, more better chances there will be in finding what has not been discovered yet.
Never seen the movie. Just to clarify are you refering to strict diagnosis of a person who is a pedo or a general more broad meaning of who would be called one. I mean some who is diagnossed would have an actual sexual attraction to pre pubescent kids. They don't have to necessarily act on it. Then you have people that sleep with kids maybee from an oppurtunistic way or some that may do it for some power control. All wrong and equally disgusting but I would imagine they could possibly have difernt percentages of sucess recovering
I think this can only work on level 1 pedos, if the ranking is from 1 to 10. 1 being just atracted to teens but won't consider doing anything more than masturbating home alone. Level 10 would be the equalents of freddy cruger.
For my idea to work, the guy needs to have a strong ability to relate to the pain of others and seeing visually how ugly the kids see the idea of having sex is, would strike the heart of the man.
I agree with you, pedofilia is to me and you wrong, but pedos dont feel the same sense of right and wrong.
I believe societys response to pedofilia is based on fear. There is everything to fear when it comes down to this matter. I believe science could one day evolve to a cure, that would eliminate the need for anyone to be afraid of anything.
But that is way too advanced biotech for our entire generation.
Fear can stop people from doing the right thing just easily as make us loose self control. Same goes for criminals as well as law abiding citizens. For example prison sentences can have people convert to good normal life as it can get people deeper to the world of crime.
