I know what you mean. I get that feeling too. To love life and to be hopeful for so many things as a kid. Wonder how good everything is. Then a person come along and rip that hope and dream from your very being. Promise many false things only to tear the very stability of their world. It tears my heart a part. I get angry and i want to kill them. No i want to hurt them make them suffer for what they destroyed. Hurting and raping and destroying all the possibilities and hopes every person feels in life. Finding the person in life that can inspire them. Love them and complete them and maybe give them their firsts. Their first kiss, their first time. Their first hope and dream accomplished. That there is a God that life is worth living. That you as a person are important and worth something.

If they've ever acted on their pedophilia, probably not. But I've heard a few guys confess that they are sexually attracted to prepubescents but are also well aware of how incredibly wrong it would be to act on those impulses. Personally I think it somewhat better to know someone wants to do wrong but keeps themselves in check as opposed to someone who doesn't want to do wrong and thus never has their integrity tested. Still wouldn't let them in charge of a daycare - but of course if they are serious about keeping it in check then they wouldn't want to be in charge of one, either.
