What is the difference between an Email an a Gmail?

An email is electronic mail or a digital letter sent over the internet via an email client.
An email client provides the service needed to make sure that the connection is made between sender and receiver.
The client also provides storage for said emails.
Gmail is merely one of those email clients.
Much like outlook.
The difference in clients where you create your account can be seen by the @
