I am a 5 star reviewer on Maps with 66K review views and 35K photo views.

And because I am active on Google Maps, Google sent me their Google Maps magazine, monthly or quarterly. And a Google Play Store Gift voucher too. I got 4 ebooks with it.

The monetary gift was a major step and gave me more of a reason to keep on reviewing places.

Nothing from Google itself other than just being praised for my reviews. But I have gotten gifts from some locales that I've reviewed. Such include coupons for clothes, free dishes, and discounts on hotel stays.

I did not expect any incentives from the get go.😅 In fact, I did not even know of their existence.
I just got them.
I just like to review places as fairly as possible. Gives me categorized information for myself too.👍

You are using the Internet. Everything is documented in numbers.

Just be okay with it. I for a fact, know that Google stores your location information from the moment you create an account. I know where I was 4 years ago, through my Google account location history.

Sure. And some a worse than others. I prefer to use companies products that don’t advertise others products based off trigger words found only in my supposedly private emails. Their mistake. Lost me that very same day.

I am okay with it. Because the sampling in data analysis is done in millions of sampled groups. Anonymous users groups. So, its okay.

Once the user identity is removed, the data remaining just becomes a data for any analysis and research or for targeted audience.
It is not only you who got the ads, but everyone in your sampled group.

I did many analysis projects in one semester. So I know, that, the owner of the data, that is, us, common people, really does not matter in the analysis. Yes, sampling, as I repeated, is done based on similar characteristics, which are common in millions.
