What do you think about Dell brand laptops?

I will buy a new laptop. Among the options is a Dell brand laptop. The features are pretty good. but people around me do not recommend the Dell brand. What would you like to say? Would you recommend the Dell brand?

Note: My other options are Asus and Acer brands. But Dell narka is better than Asus and Acer for its price. An Asus and Acer with the same specs as Dell are not the same price, but more expensive.

I've had several different kinds of computers and have had problems (mostly bizarre problems that even computer techs have never heard of, before!) so, I'm not exactly thrilled with any of them but, so far, the two or 3 Dells I've got have lasted me the longest. The Dell laptop I bought was used and still works well, about 10 years later.
This computer is also a Dell that's just a bit older than the laptop and I bought it brand new and, except for the DVD drive, hasn't had any problems.
One of my cousins found an old computer in someone's garbage about 30 years ago and gave it to me. It looked like someone spilled coffee or hot chocolate on it and it still worked great for a number of years. I don't remember what brand it was but, if it could take all the gear the modern ones could and do all the stuff they can, I'd possibly still be using it!

Brands are not important these days. All the stuff is made in the same factories in China.

Hence it's features and quality you're looking at, along with price.

DELL are good work machines, nothing fancy and it's why they are preferred by businesses. Very good for parts and repair too.

Acer tend to be cheap and cheerful and you're often not worth the repair. Asus tend to be good features machines, but terrible for repair and parts.

For laptops, I've used Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cyberpower, and then Acer and MSI (borrowed each from a friend for a couple weeks).

Of the "common" laptop brands you can buy off the shelf, Dell is very good and probably equal to Acer, though several years ago they had some major issues. If you're looking for an all-purpose or professional laptop, I do recommend Dell. If you're doing something very demanding on the system however, then I recommend MSI or one of Acer's high end rigs. If that's the case however, expect your laptop to be basically obsolete within a couple years.

No, it's a laptop thing in general, and especially laptops used for gaming or developing games and animation, technology advancements make them obsolete fairly quickly, versus a desktop tower can have a few components upgraded over time to keep it going. In terms of just simply working, laptops are perfectly fine unless you damage it yourself.

I am not a gamer. Likewise, I will not do work such as graphic design. The laptop I will buy should be suitable for my small and simple tasks. I couldn't decide between a Dell laptop with a discrete (external) graphics card and an Asus laptop with a shared (internal) graphics card. both are the same price but the Dell one is better in terms of features. I couldn't decide which one to get. I'm not a gamer but I would like to have a good graphics card in my laptop.

Okay, in that case I recommend the Dell. I do not like integrated graphics cards really under any circumstances.

Anything but Toshiba. I have had decent luck with Dell, Asus, and especially HP.

Can you recommend Dell brand? Also, Toshiba no longer manufactures computers. It went through a name change and changed its name to Dynabook.
