I see it on a significant sale right now, new, and I've wanted a dual touchscreen for a while. 64GB storage, Chrome OS, 4GB ram. Is it worth it?

No, it’s absolutely TERRIBLE. It’s not even worth being called a laptop to be honest.
It has 4 gigs of LPDD3 RAM (which is the same RAM that is used in android phones since 2015). So that 4gigs of RAM isn’t the laptop or computer kind of RAM. Most mainstream laptops and computers use DDR4 RAMs which are WAY more powerful than LPDDR3. Even 2gig or 1.5gig of the ‘real’ RAM is better than this 4gb LPDDR3 RAM.
It doesn’t even have a mechanic hard drive or magnetic SSD (which is what you find in a TRUE laptop or PC). It has a 64GB eMMC which has very low read write speeds compared to actual storage drives found on computers and laptops.
And coming to the processor, it has an ARM based Mediatek SoC chip that is used in android phones which is useless. The ‘true’ processors used in laptops and computers are x64 Intel and AMD CPUs which are WAY more powerful than the CPU in this device.
And ChromeOS is very limited in terms of functionality compared to Windows because android itself can do pretty much everything that ChromeOS can do. Windows is much much better in terms of functionality as Windows does things which are impossible for Android or ChromeOS.
I would advise you to not waste your money on this device and instead get an actual laptop with DDR4 RAM, x64 Intel/AMD CPU and an actual SSD/HDD.
But if you are not interested in doing any PC exclusive stuff then you can just grab a powerful android tablet instead.
But whatever you do, do NOT buy this device, it’s just crap.
@ZenJen444 I just checked it and it doesn’t seem cheap to me by any means. I’m not from USA by the way so different prices. But anyway, I would never recommend you to ever buy that device. What would you even do with it? It’s practically useless.
@ZenJen444 But if you can already do that on your laptop or even your phone then why buy a separate chromebook? And most people have Smart TVs these days to watch YouTube or Netflix and even if not, you can still do that on your laptop so why buy this separately?
@OneManOnly01 I got the chromebook first for leisure purpose not thinking I was going back to college. Once I decided I want to go back I HAD to purchase a laptop computer
@ZenJen444 But you can still get a device with an actual x64 based Intel Celeron CPU and a 128GB SSD at the same price. And you’ll have a much better and more fluid experience on such a device compared to this device.
@ZenJen444 Check out this page. All the devices listed here are under $200 and almost all of them have a ‘true’ x64 based CPU (much better than this one). And some of them even have true DDR4 RAM or SSD based storage drives.

@ZenJen444 But all of them are better than this device is some way or the other.
Some of them have x64 CPUs which are better than this device’s CPU. Some of them have SSD compared to this device’s eMMC. Some of them have DDR4 RAM compared to this device’s LPDDR3 RAM.
You could probably find Windows based devices at similar prices too.
@ZenJen444 I have had bad experiences with Chinese brands. I prefer Taiwanese ones so I’d go with Acer if I had to choose🙂
Im not a huge fan of chromebooks period. Only reason being is they are not full laptops ( or at least they weren’t when i tried one) so depending what programs you need to use you may not get what you need out of them. I love my surface pro though. Thats been a fantastic convertible tablet.
I tried to use a Chromebook for work (part of my job is to test new tech) and it was so lacking in usability it was a joke. It went back in the box after a month and that is where it stayed. Chromebooks are only really any good if you just want to do email and watch Netflix.

It's basically a big Chrome wifi phone. Very good if you want something cheap, light and you're just going to watch or surf. Useless for anything more.
I spent almost $800 on a lenovo convertible laptop for my daughter. It lasted 2 years. Never again would I get a convertible laptop. And never again would I get a Lenovo.
What are your uses on it? And how much will you get it for (after all costs - shipping, handling, etc)
It's new on Amazon for 160, free shipping because I have a prime membership
You didn't tell me what it is for. Assuming it's only for basic office work, 4GB is kind of low if you're running multiple applications at a time. Storage is also low in my opinion but again depends on the user.
But the price is good so you can go ahead. Just keep in mind that it'll be obsolete in 1-2 years.
I don't have it. I have the Lenovo Thinkpad X1, which is pretty impressive. Which is should be considering the price.
I like Lenovo so I would like that.
I have it but not in a chrome book love it
Never tried one
Seems ok if you’re not doing too much on it
