It appears creepy because when people

“naturally” smile, their eyes are either closed or ‘squinted.’ When you see someone- anyone- smile and they’re smiling with “straight eyes,” it usually means: it’s for a picture pose and they’re trying not to blink and DON’T realize how weird they look, or they’re awkward, or genuinely a sociopathic killer, lmao.

Sometimes if their stare has some interest in it, it usually means a person is listening and waiting to laugh, or happy to hear what the other person is telling them, while still trying to give appropriate eye-contact, to show they’re listening.

I like it because I use it for the most tiresome individuals who sometimes just need a ‘basic smile,’ to know everything is gonna be alright. I usually use the “happier” looking ones as well- with eyes “closed-”

to show people I’m not “faking” and that I’m not “challenging them.” You’ll know if I meant it sarcastically or with some ‘craziness,’ when my entire text sent with it, is nothing but trash talk lol.

Not that I want those, but it’s a signature move for those situations.
