Do you rely 100% on your mobile for everything?

When I said everything I mean Bookings, bank transacctions, ticket purchases, I mean anything) or you still uses also your lap top when you want to do certain things and prefer better the lap top than the mobile.

When you travel would you take your lap top or just your mobile in these current times?

I was called I was an odd person beause I told several people that I want to take my lap top to a overseas trip rather to depend 100% on my mobile. These people told me. "Now you can do everything on a mobile you dont need a lap top anymore". and they gave me an example that when they travel they dont take a lap top anymore with them, with the mobile is enough for them as now in any part of the world they ask you for printed documents anymore, everything you show from the mobile now.

I dont depend on my mobile 100% Im not addicted to it or hook on, I rather see things in a bigger size than a small mobile screen (besides been so bad for your visual health) I like to switch from mobile to lap top and not 100% on one equipment.

I do not rely on my mobile to do anything. I primarily use smartphones how they were meant to be used: as a portal to a vast array of information, rather than as the cornucopia of PII they are now. I actually have very few apps through which I access sensitive personal information, because it's generally not a good idea to have so much stuff stored on a single point of failure.

A lot of people (young and old) use smart devices because it grants them access to free sh*t--most of them not realizing that free sh*t is there to incentivize them to use their smartphone as a data harvesting tool. The modern "app economy" that exists would not be what it is, if people did not feel the need commoditize themselves in exchange for likes and follows. For example, TikTok, Facebook (sorry, Meta "the company formerly known as Facebook", and Instagram (because these are most used apps on both Android and iOS) are designed the way they are, because making "advertising profiles" based on user input is far more profitable as a business model than a subscription service ever could be (something which Elon Musk and his "$8 a month Blue Checkmark" is going to learn the hard way) and also the reason "one-and-done" paid apps as a whole are an endangered species.

I prefer to use desktops/laptops, because the screen is bigger and it has a full-sized keyboard. If every app had (or continued to have) a progressive web app counterpart to its mobile version, I'd probably never use a smartphone again. They are convenient, but that's all they are. They are also far more constrained in terms of what the user can do and I don't like walled gardens.

No I don't rely on my mobile for everything, It doesn't have the sheer processing grunt for the more secure communications with Works Home Office, banking, booking flights through a LAN connection, never over Wi-Fi, that's why I carry a Laptop , and I will not use a mobile to do of the functions above as I do not consider the mobile broadband or mobile Wi-Fi as secure enough,

I'll use the phone for taking notes & the odd snapshot, but not much beyond that, they are too easy to loose or be stolen. Even charging your phone is risky as you could get charge hacked, so I always carry a power bank that has enough capacity for a couple of full charges. As you can probably tell I see a mobile as a disposable item, my current phone is a Nokia C21 Plus Smartphone with 6.5" HD+ Display, Toughened Glass, 2-Day Battery Life, 13MP Dual-Camera with HDR, Panorama & Beautification, Clean OS, 2 Years Security Updates, Dual-Sim and cost less than £100 new. I see no sense in paying anything more than that and regard Iphones to be for fashion victims.

I've barely used my laptop since I finished my bachelor - I'll occasionally use it for research if I don't want to be sitting at my stationary and I'd never take it with me to travel.

Everything is on my phone, from bank, health journals, digital post platform where I get all my official mail - haven't gotten so far as to throw my debit card on there, so I don't use my phone to paying for things in stores.

I don't have a laptop anymore, or at least one that works. I have a desktop that I use for gaming, watching videos etc. But I use my phone for almost everything else. Sometimes I use my computer to do online shopping because it's easier to use the honey extension.

Ps. Screens do not damage your vision. That is a myth.

I like a real keyboard as well. Would never do banking on a mobile because I don't know if details get overwritten by binary 0's and they ought to be with persistent memory.

On the other hand mobiles have got better and easier for some tasks and there is still the same issues with banking. The major reason for me to take a laptop would be emails.

I had an Asus tablet with a fold out keyboard and it was a good compromise. Light easy to carry most phone features and laptop features in one package. I took and used that o/s.

Naaaah, i would say 80%. It's just as important as my car. If I wanna talk to some randos, I'll use it or ya know, to talk to my boss. Either way, it's a valuable thing I can't live without. Otherwise, when I leave town, I'm lost. :c

Nope, I do not bank online and do not pay bills online. I use a real credit card for gas and other purchase and don't have an ATM card. I use the phone to text and make phone calls. i have a few apps that I use too.

No, I use my devices as tools for conveniences. I "control" it. It doesn't control me.

That means no social media, time wasters and nonsensical bullsh.

Smartphones are much more geared for entertainment than for work. For that reason I still think computers are indispensable.
