So im looking for my first car, I have seen a couple of used EVs and gas cars According to google and other websites, It cheaper to charge an electric car then a gas car and get near equal mileage, Also they apparently break down less as their are less moving parts, I mean from a finance standpoint they seem just better. But they do cost more to buy outright compared to Gas cars, Anyone who has had an electric car, Is it worth it?
Depends. Also, no you don't get "equal" anything and it's a far more complex picture.
You see, a Japanese electric car isn't the same as a German made one. Both may say "150 miles range" but their electrics and drive trains are very different. One will give you 100 miles, the other may give you 120. Also it depends on the speeds and terrain you're driving as well.
As for charging, you can charge it like you do a mobile phone, but a dedicated charge point is a quicker way to charge - and cheaper.
From a finance standpoint, it's better to lease them than buy them. You can take the cost off your tax bill, and even the best electric car on the market is only lasting 4 years until it's battery dies, and needs replaced. Which can cost between 3-5k depending on car.
Leased car means you save that cost and just get another one instead.

I'm not sure any electric car is worth it yet. And a used electric kind of depends on the life of the battery. EV battery's are no different than rechargeable batteries that go in a portable radio in the fact that they after being charged so many times decrese the length of charge. It's alway good to know the life of the battery before buying a used electric. Brands like leaf there's a real easy way to check. And when replacing the battery it's important to know replacement cost can vary wildly among brands.
Personally even though distance between charges has tripled over the past 10 years I don't think over all ev's are any more economical than gas powered cars. What you make up for in fuel cost you pay for in overall costs. So it's kind of a wash.

The range is very limited. Most have a range between 2 and 3 hundred miles. They are a fire hazard. If you are charging In your garage and it catches on fire your whole house will go up before the fire dept can extinguish it. Buying a used one is a gamble because the batteries only last 3 or 4 years before you have to replace them. The replacement batteries are very expensive.
It is true it costs less per mile to charge them but since Biden has been in office electric rates have doubled so it is not as good of a deal as ot was
Fuck no. It’s still powered by fossil fuels to charge it. Batteries come from China under slave labor. When the batteries die there is no safe disposal for the environment plus new replacement batteries will cost as much as a car
Get a gas car. It's much cheaper.
