How do you make your TV stop flickering?

When I turn my TV on, the screen be flickering, what is the solution to make it stop. Is it the Internet on the TV or do I need a new fire stick?

If it’s the classic crt or cathode ray tube you can try to lightly tap it on the top, sides, lightly tap the screen. If not, unplug it, wait about 5 minutes, plug it in and turn it on. If it still does it, then you need a new tv. If it a flatscreen newer tv like what you see in the stores today, get a new one. They’ve really come down in price.

Look, I know this kind of problem can be frustrating, but SHOOTING the television isn't going to help. Is a CRT or a flatscreen?

Means your tv is broken.


If you paid for the warranty, use it.


If you have no warranty, time for a new tv.

Take out the stick and see if the screen still flickers. If it doesn't then it means either the HDMI cable is damaged or the stick is.

Try changing the refresh rate on your tv
