My wife has a Google voice number that was verified to her account. She said she didn't do it. Does anyone know if this is possible?

The number was verified on her Google account and it was used as her Google meet phone number that she uses to talk to our son. I find it very hard to believe she didn't know about it. So hopefully someone may know of how this could happen.
