Is it creepy when you have followers that you do not know?

I just noticed that I have over 900 followers. I was in double digits forever it seemed. I look at them all and there hundreds that I have never heard of. It is s a little weird to me.

Not really because I'm kinda used to it. Being in a band for 25 years, even though we broke up 18.5 years ago, I'm still running into fans that know me but I have no idea who they are.
As for online shit, though, it IS kinda stupid to have so many followers that you never even talk yo. I was FB friends with a woman in Michigan 25 years ago and she had HUNDREDS of FB friends all over the world!! Most of whom she never talked to!! To her, it was a game to see how many she could collect and she was always trying to out-do some other friend of hers. I used to have tons of FB friends, too, until I realized that I don't even know who most of them are so, there's no point in hanging onto any of them and I started cleaning house!! Now, if I don't know them, I don't bother accepting their friend requests.

I think having followers on GaG you´ve never heard of isn´t creepy at all. They follow you because of what you ask or comment. But to me GaG isn´t a social network and but rather a platform to give and get advice. So I´m not that much into communication with people and to be honest the obstacle to pm some one is quiet high for me on here.
