Does anyone know how to connect wireless earbuds to a PS4?

I tried doing it the standard way but low and behold, literally every device in house showed up on the list except for my pair. Kind of sus and feel pretty one-sided, almost as if this is racially motivated. Anyways, yeah, the wired earbuds I always use just suddenly broke one night. They were sitting on the table completely unharmed and next thing you know, I’m down another pair of earbuds yet again…

Also the pair I’m trying to connect are of the Onn. brand just in case you needed to know.

I believe Sony followed Microsoft's example and disabled the "headset" Bluetooth profile so that they could sell you PlayStation-branded headsets. The PS3 was all open standards, but not so on the later models - but still much less locked down compared to the Xbox.

I use wired headsets for gaming, because they have better sound quality, don't need to charge, and I don't have to figure out how to pair them with anything.

I did too but mine thought it would be cool or funny to just stop working. Playing Apex without audio is a literal handicap
