How the fuck do I connect wifi to my Xbox 360?

The original 360s didn't come with WiFi - you had to buy the 360 WiFi adapter separately, which was a USB-to-WiFi device.

If you don't have a "slim" model, then you MUST buy the Xbox-specific WiFi adapter in order to use WiFi on your 360, because only the official WiFi adapter has driver support, and you can't install third-party drivers on a 360.

Once you have the adapter, it's like any other WiFi device: it will scan and show you a list of WiFi networks, you pick the correct network name, and then type in the password, and you should then be connected.

Seems like you need a special adapter.

From what i ve could gather, the basic 360 doesn't have an integrated wifi port.

There is the Xbox 360 E, which does has an integrated wifi port, in this case it should be easy to just put in the wifipassword and you are ready to go.

True. I tried to just use the password and it said I need to use a wired adapter? It could've also said wireless but idk😭

The old Xboxes required you to buy xbox compatible wifi adapters.

The adaptors weren't very good, and you were better off just running ethernet instead.

I don't think most xbox 360 adaptors would be good enough for gaming now as the connection will be too slow.

360? Oof, that's an old one. If you really had to use wifi, then you'd need to buy a router and connected that by wire to the xbox and set up the router to connect to your other router's wifi.
