No, hitting a deer would not make it burst into flames.
The reason electric cars do burn is because of a runaway chain reaction, not a deer strike. The battery pack is under the car, not in the front end.
Those bat tree packs are pretty bullet proof.
Where I live, we get an enormous/shit ton amount of car vs deer esp Oct & Nov, and we have yet to have one gas, hybrid, or electric vee hickle go up in flames.
Airbags go off, radiators go, trans coolers, but no flames.
And I've been doing this for a long time.
Not saying it couldn't happen, but even our neighboring departments haven't had one burn as far as I can remember.

It has got a far chance of it. Insurance companies are writing off electric vehicles after relatively small accidents because of concern sudden stops has on the batteries. Hopefully fire departments now know not to hose down electic vehicles when they do catch on fire. Water + Lithium = Hydrogen.

I am Australian so I have never hit a deer. I'm told it is exciting but I could do without it.

it happens with all types of vehicles... it seems like hybrids are the worst, and I guess that makes sense... double the fuel risk?

Could burst into flames. And so can a combustion engine. Difference between the 2 an electric car won't explode. A combustion engine is a several ton bomb with pretty colors and seats.

Where I live happen so many accidents with deers. And never saw a car in flames.

I've heard about 4 electric vehicles being in collisions with deer in the last month. That's just in my area. They all caught fire

I didn't know that, a short circuit does seem possible. I do know that they have had problems with fast chargers starting fires.
