For those that insist everyone get electric vehicles what do you think of this actual bill for replacing the battery?

I kid you not, this is a replacement bill on a car with understand 70000 miles. This is the equivalent of an engine out tune up Ona Ferrari.. Until the cost of fixing these things is down to where a normal car that us middle class people drive, I simply will not own one. 28k for a battery replacement, fuck that. Not to mention battery replacements are FAR worse for the environment than what regular gas powered cars do.

cons of electric cars:

• the fossile fuel issue is just shifted from the vehicle to another place (like a coal power plant that produces electricity for e-cars)
• short distances, like only 400km for each charge (expensive cars might get 600km)
• expensive vehicles and batteries (which have to be replaced sometimes)
• 8h charging, while super charging damages the batterie's life span
• offshore mining for silicium for batteries in poor countries, child workers, destruction of landscapes
• too many e-cars overstress the electrical system, forcing the public electricity provider to shut some charging stations down

Let's add that a minor fender bender can crack your battery forcing a replacement. All the people in the second hand used car market who can't afford this are fucked.

If these electric cars EVERYONE is supposed to buy one day for an unreasonable price, then they MUST make the expensive line, and a line of their car that is much cheaper. Otherwise this whole car thing ain't gonna work.

If your Tesla's battery runs dry, and you're stranded; if you bought the extra package, a Tesla person will come to your rescue. Do you think the Tesla rescue vehicle runs on gas or electric? lol

Scientists will tell you that there's not enough raw materials on this planet to make all the batteries needed for us to go "green."

This is NOT going to happen. Instead, we will all just be without transportation. This is by design from the New World Order.

Yeah, the batteries are a huge obstacle to actually making EVs better for the environment.

But frankly, there's no longer time for companies to try to push gas cars. Most countries have looming EV conversion deadlines, because as bad as EVs are for the planet they're still better than the oil and gas sector continuing unimpeded.

Plus, battery research and science are moving at an astonishing pace. Including making them cheaper and more sustainable.

Resisiting transition to sustainable energy will only place car manufacturers behind the looming market sector switch.

No matter what we choose as individuals, the world will still move towards climate disaster. But remove the pressure on corporations to transition to sustanable structures and you light any remaining hope on fire.

There is no perfect climate solution. The only thing we know for sure is that it is too late to wait any longer.

It is indeed a major cost but it is a major cost of an electric car and they always get you on repairs for any type of car.
