+1 yIt depends why you buy it. If it is for the extra abilities it has like movies and TikTok videos and camera editing abilities, I would say that is too extravagant for somebody unless they work in media. I use my iPhone to connect with the world and work on my research projects and I’m online at least 9 hours a day when I’m not vacationing or sick to I consider the iPhone to be a good purchase. It should last at least 9 or 10 years so that is around 330 x 9 x 10 hours of usage on it or more.

110% it's overrated.
Here in my country Iphone costs like 1200 $ after taxes and is seen by me as a phone not worth it. 1500$ is yearly salary now and people like me deserve to be empathetic towards them
If it was less expensive I would have bought it but it's unsustainable. I can afford it but it's a waste honestly.
A good phone like the one I have is like 110$. So if I upscaled that even a little further I could get a phone with almost same specs as Iphone. My ex was deep in it and she told her father I don't want to use a iPhone even if I got it free.
Iphone users, nothing against them but look they need to understand value for money is important. If someone can't live without iphone then he is missing something.

A phone where I am forced to use webkit as my browser engine and developers don't get tools to develop for it. A phone that doesn't let me do the powerful stuff I can do on my Android phone. Yeah, totally overrated.

Definitely! It has features and functions that I would never use and, I'm assuming, most other people probably never use either. I have a vintage 2000's Nokia flip-phone, and that's good enough for me.

+1 yYes. But will I ever buy a phone that’s not an iPhone? Absolutely not lol
iphones were the shit when they first came out. So they gained the reputation of being the phone to have.
but over the years, Samsung phones have become better. Now Apple just releases the same phone over and over again with maybe a couple new features that they steal from Samsung. then they slap a couple extra $100 on the price tag.
but…imma still buy from Apple cause I’m a slave to what’s trendy. It’s more about the aesthetic of having an iPhone 💀 imma be completely real00 Reply- 408 opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic.
+1 yOnce the 5 through 8 came out and wasn't as short as the 4, I’d say iphone was the prettiest of phones and safari was easier to work than chrome (only by phone, its vice versa on the computer). But yea this was before the ugly X+ and their multiple cameras on the back came out. Pixels used to be pretty too though. But iphones camera will never compare to android cams and i like that androids have free ringtones. Still, iphones and the galaxy series are both overrated
10 Reply Smartphones are a problem no matter what brand you use. IPhone is a little more private, while Google who makes Android, collects as much information on your usage as possible. Which is one of the reasons why they tend to be nicer priced. But iPhones you are paying for the Apple name brand.

+1 yYes and no, some of the components are cheap af because apple like the majority of American based companies are greedy af.
So they outsource their jobs and also make cutbacks on R&D and tech.
If this wasn’t the case everything about the iPhone would be the opposite. Well built, better specs, etc.01 Reply- +1 y
The good thing about the iPhone is it’s user friendly software and it’s ecosystem
Are you team Samsung? I don't like iphones at all.
The only good purpose of an iphone is to be sledgehammered into dust by me.
20 ReplyApple in general is overrated. Steve Jobs was brilliant at marketing but the product has never been as good as the marketing team behind it

I have Samsung and it works great. Plus I can use pretty much any charger except the new ios.

m +1 yI would say it's overpriced, not overrated...
but that is the trend with so many things now...
some other phones that carry Android OS are also overpriced or "overrated" lol00 Reply 603 opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. Everything that Apple makes is overrated. Apple products are overpriced and underpowered and designed to fail earlier than expected in order to force you to buy more of their junk. I don't buy Apple products and I don't think anybody should.
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. iPhones are one of the biggest scams thrown at consumers, and morons fell for it.
20 ReplyI used to think that until I recently bought one. For the people who say that iPhone is overrated, I wonder what they'd say about the Samsung flagship.

I can say good and bad things about Android, Apple and even Microsoft. But if you just use an iPhone because it has the Apple logo on it, then the phone is overrated.
But if you're really interested in what your iPhone can do, you might be surprised.
I'm able to control 95% of my iPhone and iPad with just my voice. But if you don't need that in a device, then buy a Motorola phone.
+1 yIt suits my purposes. I wish they made their products more compatible with others that aren't Apple.
10 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. It never really was rated as there is nothing much to compare it to.
No others device has a platform and walled garden like it. It's almost a cult.
