Does anyone still have a landline?

I know a couple people that still have a landline but they are usually against cell phones or old fashioned people. Most people just have a cell phone or maybe more than just one. My uncle still had a landline and a answering machine with caller id and has had the same phone number since 1980

I know several people who live in the Northeast US who still have landlines. They don't go out when there is a major power outage... during Winter blizzards, for example.

I live in Southeast US, and I know of no one (other than some businesses) who has a landline.

I have a landline as a primary phone. It is much more dependable than a cell phone. The battery never dies and I never lose the signal..
i go out in blizzards, hurricanes and riots.

I have one that is connected to an old fax machine that has a phone. I never use it, but keep it in case cell service goes down and there is an emergency.

Yes. In the basement in our 50's room. A turquoise desk phone with a - gasp - dial! It's there for decor: it's not connected, but I could since we still have RS-232 land lines running all through the house!

my mother does, doesn't really use it much, but its for the relatives and friends that may call and find it in phonebook

Makes me miss my old Samsung that took two SIM cards, you could receive from both and select which number you wanted to call from.

I still have a land line mainly because the cell service where I live sucks badly.

I have a landline and it has an answering machine. It is my main phone number. Only my wife and kids have my cell phone number.

I use my landline to run the lamps, the fridge, aircon and the oven.

None of them ever had answered when I spoke to them.

I do have a landline number. I rarely use it but when I do is to call other landline numbers.

My parents do. They don't leave the house much anymore.

They had a flip phone but I think their service expired.
