Did the recycle video game store rip me off?

I had a super smash bros edition 3ds xl from 2014. I also had 3 games. I took it all to the recycle video game store to sell it. They only have me $92 for all of it. I was expecting $200. Did I get ripped off, or was I expecting too much?

You were ripped off. At least here in germany the 3DS XL in any version is offered for sale for 100-200€. The games price depend on the titles itself, but your 200€ estimate would be right. However a store will always offer you less, as they need to make a profit reselling it. Maybe next time try selling it directly on ebay or other platforms.

Well, they sell for $200, and there was no way you the store was going to pay you full price for it, they have to make a profit. $92 is around what I would have been what I was expecting.

You kind of ripped yourself off. There's better places to sell. Consider this a lesson learned. Nothing you can do about it now.

Recycle video game stores are there for convenience, not for the customer to make money.

Meh, such stores will rarely give a good price. you should have shopped around first.
