Why whenever I plug my charger in my wall sockets there is a full humming noise?

We aren’t talking one or two of my outlets. We are talking almost all the outlets in my house. Whenever I plug my phone charger in, there is a very quiet hum. As soon as I unplug the charger, the hum goes away.

Based on what I know about electronics, a wall charger has in it a transformer. Windings in a transformer cause magneto-electric fields which reverse along with the alternating current frequency where one is. The result of this is that there will be a hum at either 60 Hz (Cycles per second, USA) or 50 Hz (Cycles per second in some other places). These are the same alternating fields that activate an older-style doorbell or the ringer in an old dial landline phone. (I know: I'm referencing items from my Paleolithic era youth).

To make a long story short, it's normal. It's just the hum caused by a transformer, most likely, and it is most likely harmless. If you have doubts, or it gets hot or sends up smoke signals, take it to the place you bought it and ask them about it.

I’m not 100% sure, but it could be that there’s a wire somewhere that’s arcing. Overall, though, I wouldn’t worry about it, unless you notice any signs of burning.

old plugs do that.

As long as there is no "burning" smell, it's nothing to worry about.
