Most people are victims of malware or some sort. Very, very few people are actually hacked.

Just get a virus protection that includes malware and keep it up to date.

Well then you've got to get it offline first. Kill his connection. Then you can work on isolating any backdoors or exploits he installed without having to actively deal with him.

That's not a "hack" per say.

You want to install adblock on your browsers and run Malwarebytes every month or so.
