I don't know what to do?

So I have this crazy niece and she posts about me nonstop, makes fake accounts and messages me and harasses me she has even sent me death threats before. She has brought me to court over lies and even made horrible lies about me like saying I abused her kids and everything. The police and courts say they can’t do anything about it. They say it’s just childish social media drama and the death threats would have to be said in person for them to be able to do anything. What would you do? I have blocked over 40 accounts of her harassing me. The legal system is a fucking joke.

- Screenshot and document everything - every threat, fake account, etc. Keep a detailed log just in case you need stronger evidence later.

- See if you can get a restraining order - ongoing harassment and threats could meet the legal standard even if not said directly to you. Might require a lawyer's help.

- Tell mutual friends/family what's really going on so she can't manipulate the narrative. Posting receipts might wake them up.

- Consider speaking to a lawyer privately about other potential legal avenues, like filing harassment charges yourself or a civil suit.

- beef up all social privacy and get offline as much as possible to limit what she can see/use against you.

- Take care of your mental health - this type of toxic crap can really get under your skin. Prioritize self-care.

Don't let her scare you into silence - there may still be ways to protect yourself legally even if police aren't helping yet. You don't deserve to live in fear! Stay strong.
