Turn car radio wireless?

I have a car that requires my phone to be connected via USB to use CarPlay. Is there a device I can plug in to the USB port and then connect to wirelessly rather than needing to have my phone directly plugged in?

At Staples they have a thing that can broadcast any sound on a short range FM transmitter. So, you can effectively play anything you want over your radio.

there's easily many ones. i've had bluetooth converters that were either aux plug ins or in the car's cigarette lighter part.

Are you driving? It won't let you connect a phone while driving.

I'm not sure what Carplay is, but I connect my phone to the sound system via Bluetooth.

I've just checked. Apple can connect to Carplay using Bluetooth. You just need to pair up your phone and the audio unit!

I don’t think my car lets me connect using Bluetooth, I have to use a cable to connect and use CarPlay

Switch Bluetooth on your phone.. go out to the car and switch on the audio unit.. try making a call and see if it asks you to pair up the audio to the phone.. that will prove/disprove if Bluetooth works!

If it does then we can go one step on from there.
