Can I pick someone's brain on turning your old stereo to wireless?

I have an older stereo system that I love and that I have had for many years - JVC. But every time I move speakers, I have to thread speaker wire to them. I guess that is why many systems have their speakers right next to them. I have placed speakers around the room, and would like to use them for both my TV and stereo. What converter would allow this to send sound wirelessly to my old or new speakers?

You can get something like this and it will convert your analog signal to bluetooth. Then you can use bluetooth speakers. okay- you need a bluetooth receiver. If your speakers will be used remotely from the receiver you need a receiver with an amplifier like this.

Do you need one of those for each speaker you are using?

It looks like there is a splitter but I am pretty sure that you won't get two discrete channels. I might be wrong. There are a lot of different products on the market. You will have to get AC power to this.

I have never done what you are trying to do but I know that there are quite a few solutions. There is more than one way to do it. If you have a legacy amplifier you could use that to drive the speakers and just patch the receiver into the Amp.

I am pretty sure there are bluetooth dongles you just plug in the speakers and the stereo.

It does exist for guitars and other electric instruments.

Thats always the question. Usually you just need to wire them once every decade and be done with it.

The old red and black plug-ins. But the speakers have those spring loaded clips for the wires. I must have had this stereo since the 80's. 😞

I think your best chance of doing it would be to plug in a wireless Bluetooth receiver in to your box. Into those red and black inputs. I'll ask my Dad what would do it. What name and model is your box?

@collie22 I have an old JBL component system with JVC speakers and some other speakers in the corners at the ceiling. I'm also thinking of hooking my Samsung TV up to them.

Your tv would need audio out or your cable box has audio out if you use one. Connecting from you tv or cable box you probably need an adaptor.

I don't think anyone makes these kinds of component systems anymore. In fact, some of these vintage set-ups can be worth a lot of money to people with record and CD collections.
