Why do people like Polaroid pictures?

Why do people still like to use Polaroid cameras and photos despite all the technological advances since Polaroid was this new and popular thing in the 40s and 50s?

You got me. Polaroid no longer makes the cameras not the film, though there is a company that makes similar film. Most people have phones with cameras now, and you can save the pictures forever, but Polaroid photos fade out after time. So really no reason to go with the polaroids.

They are pretty cool. I got one a long time ago when I was a kid for Christmas. If you want to see the picture, I’m holding a football by the Christmas tree. On Christmas day and making a football face

I never did. Other than getting instant results, I thought they were kinda cheesy. You have no negatives so, you can't get copies made.

What you do is you take a close-up picture of the Polaroid from your cell phone like I did

@Iron_Man Actually, cell phones came out in the late `70's but they didn't develop into the micro computers they are now until about 30 years ago.
Apparently, we had the tech to make modern cells back in the `30's.
