How to see/renew messages after they were deleted from phone and trash file?

If someone deleted text messages then deleted those texts from the trash folder on an Android, is there a way to still see those messages? If so, how?

If you use google drive for backup you might find it as an archived message. Samsung backs up after 2 hours of no use. If you deleted the same day probably slim chances it was backed up.

There are products that can restore deleted files - you could try one of them.

I just know Linux EXT4 not android and how messages are stored.

Files are deleted by flipping flags and a file can continue to exist for some time UNTIL it is overwritten by something else after which it is impossible. So there is a potential window of opportunity to recover the messages

Yes, it was deleted the same day. Trash was emptied the same day the thread was deleted.

unlikely there is a back up then but still check it out. I just don't know details of how Samsung stores messages. To give a pencil and paper analogy, it is more like Android crosses messages out to delete than it is like rubbing the message out with an eraser.

The messages will be still on your phone but time is important because they will be overwrtten. That is then lke rubbing out with an eraser and writing an entirely new message in its place.

if the message is important than look for an undelete app as early as possible.

Hmmm it's a long shot. And I'm not sure it'll work. Just a guess. But there are apps that can recover deleted photos and videos that were permanently deleted so perhaps there's a way to get messages too

But I don't know how safe those are. Nor do I know if it can get messages. But it's a start to find your answer
