Is deleting messages from trash permanent on Android? Is it possible to recover deleted messages deleted from thread AND trash?

If someone deleted a message thread from the texts in an Android phone and also deleted the thread from the trash file, is it possible to find/recover those messages still?

If it's connected to Gmail there is really no way to recover.

It is. I use Gmail and have my account synched to my phone. I was not referring to emails. I meant actual text messages. I accidentally deleted my one thread I didn't want to delete and my trash is set to automatically delete, I don't have the option on to save trash for x amount of days. So, right now, they are gone. Is there a way to recover deleted trash messages from a TEXT... not email? If so, how?

I have AT&T. Do you know if they do? It's just the regular text section for the phone, not a special app.

Does it use Google messages or message plus for texting. For example, on my pixel 8 it uses Google messages. On my old one plus 8 it used message plus.

This is a Samsung phone, not a Google one, but my Google/Gmail account is synched to my phone.

I understand, but unless you're using the att backup service it's likely gone forever.
