Should I keep my RCA HDtv or buy a 4k tv/smart tv?

It's really up to you weather you buy a 4k TV or not. I upgraded to a 4K TV and have no regrets, infact, I'm glad I upgraded, I not only have a bigger screen, but my streaming services look better as there not being down scaled to 720p. 720p was perfectly fine when it came out, but with almost everything being 1080p and 4k now, your missing with a 720p TV. FYI if you decide to get a 4K TV, make sure it supports HDR and avoid ones with Roku built in (can always use an separate Roku if needed).

I don't know man it still works and besides most games I play on it look great when hooked up to hdmi

Like I said it's up to you, and if you don't feel the need to upgrade and your current TV works just fine, then I wouldn't worry about upgrading. Virtually all HD TV's support 1080p, but not all HD TVs will display a native 1080p picture as they downscale the image to match the native resolution of the LCD panel. I wouldn't worry much about your 720p TV downscaling 1080p content, what matters is how it looks too, not anyone else. I'm a little bit of an A/V phile, so picture is a little more important. My parents are still using a 720p TV and are still perfectly happy with it.

Why not buy another cheap brand Chinese brand sold at a supermarket store or retailer store HD television or basic smart TV :)

I don't know man I bought a Roku stick so I can watch movies on it through hdmi

That's a brand I like personally ; I used to be a fan of South Korean Samsung their cars Kia etc not anymore for years now since 2022 lol 😆

No idea. I only know of TCL, JVC, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic (so sad they disappeared)

If it's RCA then it's likely not full HD but upscaling instead.

But if it is still working then stick with it.

I have a smart TV downstairs but still have a little HD for myself to watch dvds
