It depends on what you use your TV for. If you're a gamer, a 4k OLED TV is really good. If you're an anime watcher or mostly watch SDR content, a Samsung 4K QD-OLED TV is great for SDR content. LG's micro-lens array technology is suitable for gamers an LG G3 is pretty good. If you are switching to OLED for the first time don't get the the LG G3 or s95c models maybe go for the cheaper LG C3 or Samsung s90c. Or you can get a small 42 inch OLED tv and use it as a PC monitor because the OLED PC monitors are sometimes more expensive than the TVs, so you're better off using an OLED TV as your desktop monitor. You wall mount the TV over your desk.
QLED is okay for your grandpa or your business or store whatever you run. Or if all you watch is the news or YouTube videos then the QLED good enough. It is good idea to get the OLED professionally calibrated. It depends on what exactly are you trying to do.
Avoid buying 8k. The majority of content is in 1080p and we are starting to get more 4K content. There is hardly any content in 8K and if you but it will just upscale the resolution for 4k and 1080p, but you're going to be watching anything in 8k expect porn videos or home movies. 8K is too expensive to make, so you're going to be watching anything in 8k for the next 7-8 years when they start making content in 8k. And by the time that happens the 8k TVs they got right now will be way out of date and probably not able to handle 8k content as well as the TVs that come in 7-8 years.
