Good think gag has labeled AI accounts with (ai)
Yes, but I am not sure I see the point.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrN864IbsPQ
I would require it if the persons represented are based on images of real humans are realistic humans.
For instance, I saw an AI video on YouTube that the uploader indicated was made with AI, but it involved two real people: Robert Saleh and Aaron Rodgers. Saleh was just fired as Coach of the NY Jets and Rodgers is their quarterback. The video made it look like a press conference in which they individually spoke and blamed the other for what happened.
Again, this is AI based on post-game conferences.00 Reply

It is fairly easy to pick them. Mispronunciation of words is a give away.
False information is not limited to AI. Network TV is extremely good at it. It is quite a good thing if people learn not to trust blindly.
I'd support labeling but YT doesn't create. I am more concerned at it's censorship of Ukraine footage. By all means have a rating system that prevents children and squeamish adults from seeing video that will distress them. A rating could include AI.00 Reply
AI should be identified as such since people should be fully informed. However, there is no reason to believe that AI spreads false information any more than any other source. Regardless of the source, if in doubt, people are responsible for using due diligence to verify sources and information.

1 yThat's a good idea at least the labeling, unfortunately would be very hard to enforce & many people could get caught in the crossfires or many ais left through the cracks.

I don't think so. My opinion is that this gen alpha growing up is going to discriminate against AI harder than the chips can keep up and want more personal interactions than millennials or gen z.
In that way the fake, scripted, and recycles of recycled interactions are a good thing to avoid dead internet and population collapse. I mean, who wants to see gingers go extinct in their lifetime?

1 yI believe that they should be removed from the platform.
It would be took big a job to approve every single one of them and verify the information in the videos.
I think a disclaimer at the beginning of the video would be fine like "Hey this is AI, it gathers way too much information all at once so it may not be correct"
But more than just being wrong or spreading misinformation.
YouTube has always been about content creators. Not big companies. Not corporations. Not AI. Real people who make real content.
We already has a similar war over it with Pewdiepie Vs T-Series.04 Reply- 1 y
They more than likely won't.
All of the AI video channels are small-scale creators. By banning A. i. content you would effectively be promoting corporate interests at the expense of a few dudes making videos in their garage.
Anonymous(30-35)1 yThe last time we let a central authority determine what is false information we were told the Hunter Biden laptop was from fake Russian disinformation and that you can't transmit or contract covid post-vaccination.
Rather than telling other people to pick and choose what words you can and can't hear, how about you just let the truth prevail? Fight falsehoods with facts.
Are we really at the point that (presumably) independent adults are trying to get others to curate information for them? Are we really that pathetic? Can we not handle the real world? And are these highly dependent adults really going to forsake the world in favor of supplementing their shortcomings?14 Reply
Opinion Owner1 yIt's easy, it's just not simple.
Government has shown us all throughout history that they are not responsible with that sort of power. Including the government we have today.
Opinion Owner1 yGoogle has shown bias through their search engine results for many, many years.

1 yAI videos should be banned, but that's not going to happen, for a wide variety of reasons. So, any AI video should be labelled as "AI-generated".
23 ReplyWhy would you ban it?

A ban should be considered because AI videos are misleading... they are often fake or exaggerations of the truth, and many people would simply believe them. What would happen if political candidates were shown in compromising positions?
Are they really more misleading than Hollywood movies, FOX News, CNN, fiction books, comics, music videos etc? All modern media presents a misrepresentation of truth. At least with A. I. you know it is not real.
We should have those labels, but they can't be administered or changed by a central authority. It should be like twitter and their community notes. Otherwise it will quickly devolve into even more disinformation, except this time it's state sponsored. And state enforced.

1 yAt LEAST those god damned annoying as fuck robo-voces that can't pronounce easy words and get so much info wrong!! AND, take away work from people that like me to do voice work!

1 yYeah but they can't weild the power they currently have, constantly mislabeling info as fake when it just exposes the current political agenda at play. So if they can't easily regulate information regarding political biases then how can they respectfully do the same for AI when the use of it is no different than the previously mentioned

1 yAbsolutely. Ai art and creations should never be pure content. Imagine if you work hard to make profit from your creativity, only for some ai channel to make thousands of dollars in several days of the channel being created, because it spews out multiple images and/or songs per day making the platform show its channel. Now imagine multiple channels like that and now new creators never get shown and well established channels rarely get shown or shoved into obscurity.

Also don't think that AI is just a spam of fake videos, there's now people who have been writing their own sci-fi world for many years who never had a chance to get it made using AI to make their dreams come true.
Here is an example of some background lore, he can't make proper episodes yet since the video generation AI is not advanced enough yet.
https://youtu.be/jGPiM9damUg
Ill not link to those videos directly but he also makes content about a dystopian future which is very well made although of course with some current visual limitations.
1 yYes i believe this will be very important as its already being abused and the technology will just get better and its already hard to tell the difference anymore
