Neither. Just as books, newspapers and magazines are not inherently harmful or helpful - despite parents going off their heads banning books and censoring articles, etc.
There is a level of education and decorum required when engaging with media. Too many people think their opinion should be the only opinion, and laws and ToS don't matter.
