If they have verified credentials with peer-reviewed research, I don’t see why not but it depends on the subject matter and how it relates to the conversation on screen.
because due to the nature of spreading information on tv/in the media they leave out a ton of information, oversimplify, and make sure theyre aligned with trends more than facts. the perfect example is a christian apologetics "scientist".
Or Dr. Phil, whose license was revoked decades ago
Sure if the scientist is reputable, has relevant expertise, and is not influenced by bias or conflicts of interest.

@strateguy632 If that's what you call a modern scientist, then I wouldn't trust them. I don't think science should ever be influenced by politics.
