It's so funny how no one knows what these are. In America we call that an "epic fail"

This is on the test to get a driver's license. Don't cross solid white lines.

The diagonal lines are just filler and not needed. The solid white line is the edge of the road, or the edge of a lane if you can't change lanes.

Inside the white lines is probably a bike lane. To the right of the white line will likely be parallel parking.

There are also likely the horizontal white stripes in the bike lane because it also functions as a pedestrian right of way to get in and out of parked cars just like the pattern used on crosswalks.
