Question about Gmail?

So got like 3,000 messages I. My primary box that I wanna get rid of. How do I do that in a quicker way as opposed to deleting one by one at a time. That would take a lifetime.

Click the first message. If the messages due for deletion are together and not interspersed among those you want to keep, scroll down to the last message in bundle and click on the last message while holding shift key down. That selects all the messages between the 1st one intended for deletion up to & including the last message due for deletion. By holding a shift key down that should select all messages between the first and last inclusive and click delete. If there are other messages interspersed among the ones you want to get rid of you can do that a couple of ways. Proceed as above except now you hold control key down and click on the messages you want tpo delete leaving the unchecked messages still available in your inbox. Or you can modify a hybrid way which would allow you to select as many messages ( or pages of msgs. you want to delete but you need to start at top of page click 1st message and last message on page if you want to delete all msgs on page and use the shift key to select blocks of messages. If you have mostly message you want to delete tham it may be easier to create a folder and label it "saved messages or whatever you want to name it and use CNTR key to copy messages you want saved and move them to folder you created, then choose CNTL "A" for all and delete. IR you can archive those you want to keep and then select all remaining ones for deletion.

There should be a checkbox in the top left corner of the inbox that says "select all" (or at least that's what it does). It'll highlight everything on that page, then all you have to do is click the trash can icon to delete them. Granted, you'll have to do that one page at a time, but it'll only take half a lifetime, as opposed to a complete one.
