Will someone know youve edited their document?

I got a word document I'm expecting sent to me in an attachment via email.

If I download the document, can they see if I've made changes once I've saved the downloaded copy?

Not that great with computers.

After you have downloaded any documents, if you make any changes to that, no can make any difference between what was there earlier or what you have made changes simply just by looking at that document only. (If you used same text size or same font what was used in orginal documents).

They only can know the difference if they do have both the documents, original ones and your edited one both. Then only by reading the both they can find differences not just by looking at it.

Only thing is that text size and fonts used should be same which is easy to do in word document.
