If someone DELETE their texts does it bother you?

If so... why🤔 I've had my roomate and others complain about this a lot but I stopped deleting stuff like one week ago😂😭😭

I don't care at all for a few reasons. One I don't care or expect people to respond immediately and two if it annoys you then don't text me. I think this a younger person anxiety and or text etiquette driven concern which is unnecessary. Texting is a short message way to communicate for it to be helpful. When it becomes full blown conversation is when it becomes annoying, misunderstood tone, and sometimes anxiety.

Seriously though I'm a big fan of young people but it's ok to learn how to just call lol. Talking isn't that difficult and also leave something to talk about otherwise when you do see someone you'll have nothing to say lol.

No it doesn't bother me. I do get really curious though and sometimes ask them what they deleted, but there are many reasons to delete a message. Might have been a message meant for someone else. Might have been a message they regretted after they sent it, thinking it was either rude or sharing too much. Gotta respect people's comfort zones. If it's your partner though, you shouldn't be hiding anything. My usual response to a partner is, "Tell me what it was, or I'll start hiding everything from you." in a half-joking manner.

It depends really.. if they delete right after sending it before I saw it but I can see it's deleted, it annoys me just because I wanna know lol.. but other than that it's whatever

This is definitely my own personal trauma coming out, but people deleting texts scares the ever living out of me. I've had too many life experiences with people doing things like that, and then trying to pretend they didn't say what they said.

When mandem starts blitzing their texts, yeah, it's a proper head-scratcher. Like, bruv, what you tryna ghost from your chat history? You got MI5-level secrets or what? It's like they're on some Mission Impossible ting, leaving no trace behind, innit?

Your roomies and that lot getting their knickers in a twist over it? It's jokes, man. They're probably thinking you're some undercover agent or a top-secret celebrity. "Oi, why's he deleting texts? Is he chatting with the Queen or something?" 😂

Just to clarify, do you mean they hate when you delete your text (in general), or text from them specifically? If they don't want you to delete text at all, are they wanting to spy on you?

It is annoying because they send me something and then back out of it. It makes me curious but also I don't want to push them if they thought it was worthy of being deleted. So it's like my curiosity has nowhere to go and it just becomes frustrating.

I've done that before sometimes though like I've messaged a friend and I don't hear from them for ages and so I just delete it if I message again.
