What do you think about the list of top 10 YouTube audience size by country?

The chart shows the top 10 countries based on YouTube audience size, as of February 2025.

What do you think about it? Any surprises?

As said by poppy already it doesn't tell me much without adjusting to population, right now it just tells me what I already know, that the more people, the bigger the YT audience

Germany is the only European country on the list.

France and the UK are placed 12th and 14th, with very little difference to Turkey. Italy and Spain are 18th and 19th, still with less difference to 10th place than 10th has to anyone above Germany. So Europe isn't actually that widely spread, just not in the top 10. They are probably even closer when you look at the percentage spread of the population. I just looked it up; yes, all of Europe (that has a statistic) is between 90% and 75%. The U. S. is at 81% for comparison.

Charts like these are better when they're adjusted to population size. Say views per 10k.

Yes, but this graph clearly shows how youtube is inaccessible in china and russia. For every other takeaway I agree. 😅

Yes, I am surpried India is so big. Also, conspicuously absent is China, Obviously it is banned ion China.

I'm not surprised at all, well, maybe a little bit, where is China? It has large population, but it's not on the list.
