How do you react to negative comments to your posts on Social Media? Does it affect you in anyway?

Most of my posts are made with "no reply" option. So the asker is the only one who can respond. And I can take anyone one on one. So negative comments don't bother me so long as they're one on one. I'm here to help. If someone doesn't want help, if they'd rather remain ignorant or if they're just looking for "yes" men. Then that's thier business. Why would I let it bother me.

Also I keep a mental note of negative people I do not engage those people. Why? There nothing to be gained by it. And if someone is chronically negative they might just find thier way to my block list.👍

Depends.

Basically, I have my values and views on things on here which have been accused of being “fake”, or I’m just a “bot”, or I’m secretly a “commie”, etc. which says more about them than me of course though it does get to me since I believe what I believe and have changed over time. I will continue to speak out on injustices, policies, and the human experience as a whole with the lessons I’ve learned founded in compassion, decency, and ‘power to the people’. Tough shit to them, I’m not stopping.

Not really.. I go on Threads daily and the community is sooooo negative and rude that nothing affects me.. I heard it all and I had people try to put me down for basically every opinion I have, so I don't really care. Most people on social media are super dumb and super entitled.

When I post a question I'm hoping for a wide range of views, not just agreeing with me. I think what you're asking is when someone is abusive. I try to find out why they're reacting the way they are, and I give them a chance to explain. Sometimes people just want to be abusive, perhaps they've had a bad day, and I then I just ignore them.

That hasn't happened so far, but it wouldn't really bother me. It's easy to leave a negative comment, it doesn't take any courage to do so if it comes from an anonymous avatar. I have better things to do with my time than worry over something like this.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I accept that, whether I agree with it or not. The only time I get upset is when a person's opinion is an intentional personal attack on an individual. Then, I ignore them and have them blocked if I can.

I don't like negative comments. Most of the time I don't see the need for them. Live and let live. They can effect me, depending on my how I'm feeling. If I'm already feeling down, and I read one, it can really feel bad. I don't use FB or IG anymore.

Yes, for 3 of 4 seconds. Of course I accept always constructive criticism to my comments but honestly 99,99% of posts who criticize my comments are invectives or insubstantial ad hominem, not a constructive critique.
