Do you think we humans have actually set foot on the Moon?, just asking since lots of people think the Moon landings were faked, staged?

Me personally, i do think they were real, i think we humans did actually set foot on the moon, however, there is a cult or a community of people who disagree, in which they think the Moon Landings were fake, staged, not real, that we humans do not have advanced enough of technology or transportation to do that type of feat.

I thought this would be an interesting poll discussion.

I think we have and what is amazing to me is, in the 5 billion year history of the Earth, I know people who were alive when our species, for the first time, left the planet and set foot on another celestial object.

Having that status will never happen again for all of infinity. Even greater would be actually being one of those people; even greater would be one of the 14 people who did walk on the Moon. Even greater would be the very first person who set foot on the Moon.

If humans survive for the next 5 billion years when the Sun is expected to die, never, ever, ever again will that happen for the first time.

Okay let's go back to the facts, they've landed on the moon in 1970s but then they stopped, what about the technological revolution? It must be much easier now right?

Most moon landings and collections today are typically automated or remote piloted because its safer to collect material that way and there really isn't a point to walking around on a lifeless barren rock other than saying "I did it"

While we have landed humans on the moon several times, we are still in a system that lacks any nearby habitable planets. Even just getting to mars, which is just another barren rock, would take about 3 years, be expensive af, and not really give us anything but maybe ores, which unmanned vehicles could just collect and bring back for us without having to risk human lives. (though some idiots want to colonize mars despite its magnetosphere having been stripped away).

The closest possibly habitable world for life are moons for our biggest gas giants, but those worlds are toxic to humans (lakes of methane instead of water for example) and the trip would take way too long, be extremely dangerous, and supplies wouldn't last, so again, unmanned vehicles/probes/drones are the clear choice here.

The promise of things like faster than light travel, proved to be impossible, so outside of figuring out cryogenic sleep and saying goodbye to loved ones back home forever, manned interstellar travel is at a standstill right now. We can go to the moon, mars, maybe even venus, but thats about it.

Well, all the data according to this topic came only from NASA, how trusted is it? Where r the proofs? A video they took inside Hollywood's studios? Or some Photoshop photos?

You can't discuss facts when you don't recognize, speak, or understand any of it.
I am chill, but I'm also honest.
You can tell real video from fake.
Flags wiggle in a vacuum chamber.
You can detect the things we left on the moon during the landings via telescopes and laser bouncing.
You can examine rocks and dirt from the moon to determine their origin.
You can deduce that because sattellites get repaired and space stations get (and currently are) occupied, that people routinely exit and re-enter the atmo.
You can watch video of exiting and entering atmo, or rather just entire space trips.
Re-entry pods and space suits are designed to withstand extreme temps.
NASA is not the only space fairing organization in the united states, let alone the world.
You can actually pay to go into space for a joy ride, or volunteer to go into space for a study.
Many studies have been conducted on the international space station.
You can buy a kit that send a camera into space that you monitor.
I could go on.

it is very easy to step onto it

Both , because the first "landings" were staged like in superman 1980, but later ones were real... the "official conspiracy" is aldrin and armstrong both with initial letter a, for first, were supposed to be first but something went wrong so they staged it in 1969 and... later themselves admitted apollo 11 was fake... but 2nd was real landing, apollo 12,

but i am skeptic until apollo 17 in 1972 and that was when they stopd... because they really did it in 1972.

Another cool conspiracy, i am also skeptic is, that apollo 17 was not last, it was the last public, but 20 was launched secretly and jointly from russia and the findings were secret until... a guy spoke up.
