Do you still answer unknown calls/texts?

Seems like 9/10 times unknown calls and texts are just scammers now. Thanks to different apps and social media sites selling our numbers. Do you still bother to answer?

Technically it could be important or a genuine call/text. But I rarely answer unless I'm expecting a call for a job or something to be honest.

I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. I make sure to check on caller ID app first and if it shows the real name and blue tick verified sign, I call back only if the person seems genuine and I was expecting a call but I rarely ever respond to text but when I do, I always ask who's this. Wait for them to explain the reason why they texted me before I share anything about myself or if they don't share their name or reason, I hit instant block.

Nope. Unless I'm expecting a call from a doctor, some institution or delivery, I'm not answering unknown numbers.

I didn't answer the poll because sometimes I do knowing it it most likely a scam... I like to take up their time and have a bit of fun because I figure the more of their time I take up the less time they have to scam others... some of them get so frustrated/angry I feel a bit bad doing it but at the end of the day they called me and are trying to basically steal money or personal details from me so F them

I did pick up once because I knew I had a call that day but it was someone else Speaking in Chinese. I just said nope and ended call lmao.

I have texting/messaging disabled, which is a dream. Anyone that calls who is not on my contact list is an automatic block.

If it doesn't show I number, I'm most likely not going to pick up. Lack of transparency is usually a pretty good indicator for a scammer.

Nope I ignore them. Usually calls from a reputable source come with some form of caller ID which makes it easier. Sometimes my phone even identifies the phone number as a likely scam call
