What has been your experience with "iPad kids"?

What's your experience with the, as they are called, "iPad kids"?

How often do you see young children playing with smartphones or some kind of tablet device?

As a parent my kids love screens/ipads while at home but when we are out they just enjoy the moment and like to play/socialize. I think when you see those "ipad kids" at a store or restaurant watching the ipad are only doing that when out and about because they dont have screens at home so they take advantage of their parents when out. Cry a little and get the ipad type of thing. So it depends ipad at home the kids are fine. Ipad while out those kids are little turds

My kids have access to all kinds of electronics. They do fine self regulating. They will go days without using any of them and some days they spend hours using different electronics.

You mean like absolutely everyone born after the year 2000?
I think they're obnoxious and incomprehensible, and have delusions of adequacy.

Some of the people I am teaching in college were iPad kids. They do not seem very bright but it may be from a failing public school system.

All the time sadly. It's why when my wife and I have kids, we plan to keep that away from them unless it's required for school.
