LifeLog (FaceBook) a DARPA project designed for domestic spying and surveillance was released under it's commercial name in 2004. People that were on the internet before it, often knew how to write HTML, CSS, JavaScript (even VB Script), and sometimes PHP or Perl. Thus the young people at the time were able to make their own websites, and generally made them about interesting topics that were useful to the world rather than about ourselves because we were not narcissistic assholes. Those young people at the time were in their late teens and early 20s at the time LifeLog was released and today are in their 40s. Those young people widely rejected LifeLog and thought it was gay. The tail end of the Millennials and GenZ were just naive kids at the time, so they signed up to document their entire lives on LifeLog and be watched constantly by the government intelligence agencies due to media influence and brainwashing. Those are your 30 year-olds today. They got addicted to the surveillance state watching their every move. They worship big brother. The older internet was much better in many ways.
Now another DARPA project "AI chat bots" are being released to influence the way people think and to convenience them to not trust their own thoughts. Many young adults today can pick up on the fact that most of these AI chat bots blatantly lie and manipulate people to following an "approved narative" by a specific party that has an agenda. But the kids of today don't know any better, and if their parents allow the AI Chat Bots to influence their children, then those kids will never be able to think for themselves. They will just mindlessly follow orders.
