My moderator friend is removing my comments because they violate site rules. Should I unfriend him?

I'm friends with a mod on the Turkish version of this site, and I discovered that he's the one removing my comments because I consistently violate site rules. When I asked him, he readily admitted it because he was doing his job. It's true that I violated site rules, but I don't like that my friend reported me. Should I understand that he's doing his job, or should I think he's betraying me? Would you stay friends? We've been friends for two years. I would understand him if he warned me and said he would report me if I continued but he just quietly reported me all this time.

Nope, he is being impartial and doing his job. More mods need to be more impartial like this guy and not play favorites. If I break the rules I take my lumps, as I should. I don't go whining about it if I was in the wrong. Neither should you.
